HISTORY:
More mystery components from a box of goodies (workshop spare parts) I am sorting through at the moment, but what are the transformer specifications? I have no idea but I will provide as much information as I have been able to gleen on this transformer.
NEW Old Stock
Spare part for audio stages, most likely audio output (low power). I suspect this is another 'special' manufacture from UTC/TRW USA based on identical construction methods used as the small interstage audio transformer I also have advertised HERE
Low level audio output for semiconductor circuits not valves.
Fully encased in what appears to be a Black resin with flying leads
That is the overall picture, now to some detail ...
UNIDENTIFIED MANUFACTURER - Audio Power Output Transformer
(It has the appearance which is very similar to other UTC (Division of TRW) USA products I have in stock)
Most likely to have been designed and made in USA
UTC were prolific designers and manufacturers of quality transformer products. I have tried to find this transformer series in their old catalogues but I have come up with blanks, I can only think that this was a 'special' production product.
Part #: P-6042-136 JB 341P2
I cannot find a reference to this part number from old UTC transformer datasheets or anywhere else online ... its a mystery!
Primary & Secondary windings are single, no taps
DC resistance test ONLY (not Z) just to check continuity as I do not have much test equipment left these days and am unable to investigate the impedance or frequency response.
Winding A: 1 Ohm (Yellow - Yellow)
Winding B: 125 Ohm (Light Grey - Light Grey)
Winding A has much heavier stranded wires compared to winding B
DIMENSIONS:
This is a small transformer and obviously only for low level audio output stages, probably no more than 500mW
27mm wide x 19.75mm x 19.75mm height
The mounting feet on either side extend each side by a further 6mm
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NEW
CLEAN
Undamaged in any way
Flying leads terminated with pre-soldered bare stranded wire
Now that I have taken photographs, made some measurements and written up this advertisement, the transformer has been returned to the original sealed packet I have kept it in - it will be supplied the same way.
