Very nice Australian designed and made audio output transformer, capable of handling 50W RMS without a sweat

HARBUCH ELECTRONICS (Australia) - Audio Output Transformer

Designed & made in Australia

Model: AT-2050

Designed for use in vacuum tube based push-pull output stage

We used this type of transformer with EL34's (Sorry, I had a number of NEW EL34's but they all found new homes very quickly!)

Primary: 4K Ohm (centre tap ... meaning 2000 - 0 - 2000 plate/anode load)

Secondary: 4 Ohm or 8 Ohm

Frequency response (+/- 1dB points) 30Hz ~ 30Khz

All leads are coloured coded and each is identified as to the purpose using a paper label underneath - easy to read and understand

It would be nice to have more detailed specifications but I cannot find the datasheets, and online searching is not much good - this is NOT an Audio Technica AT2050!

I had many "dealings" with Harbuch many moons ago out at Hornsby, their products were well known in the broadcast industry in particular. You may notice I have quite a number of their AC power transformers too. Unfortunately the owner retired some time back (we all need to take a rest sometime) and the new owners don't seem to be doing much with their website. Take a look HERE so you can see what I mean, parts (actually most) of the website don't work and information is scanty at best.

Mounting: Chassis (open access to the base of the transformer) 4x mounting bolts (supplied fitted with nuts)

DIMENSIONS:

115mm wide x 96mm deep x 105mm height (these measurements are edge to edge external and the height includes the protruding transformer former at the base)

Mounting bolts (brass) are 75mm apart in one direction and 95mm apart in the other direction (rectangular shape)

Drop down steel "sides" each have 2x mounting holes should the chassis design prefer this

If you imagine the transformer "sitting" on the chassis, the transformer former protrudes a further 25mm downwards i.e you need to have a rectangular cut-out in your chassis.

This cut out should be approximately 80 ~ 82mm x 66 ~ 68mm and the transformer then sits nicely in this cut out, leaving the edges of the cut out for mounting bolt holes.

Flying leads (Primary & Secondary wires are 300mm length using stranded, tinned copper wire)

WEIGHT: 3.5Kg

COSMETIC CONDITION:

I have just one of these left from our production/workshop stocks and there will be NO ongoing supply ...this poor lonely soul is just screaming out to be put to work making beautiful music!
