These connectors are NEW and unused.

Classic round flange connector from Cannon, the basic design (with no latching) dates way back to the 1950's and was commonly used in professional audio and broadcast equipment right through the decades until Switchcraft and Neutrik dominated the market.

This incarnation of the 13 series from Cannon is the later model which included the latching mechanism, around the 1970's I believe this type was introduced. We kept a stock of these on hand when restoring OLD audio equipment, it is extremely unlikely you will find this design on contemporary equipment.

Solid as a rock, all metal (except the insulating centre-piece of course) and these had the special design with Pin 1 being forward of the other pins (inside) and this pin is normally used for the shield or ground signal path, meaning that the first pin to connect or last to disconnect was Pin 1 - less chance of that nasty 50hz buzz when inserting or removing a plug.

This is the Australian manufactured product (637 in the product part number), in the days that Australia had a thriving electronics manufacturing industry. Remember those massive manufacturing facilities of AWA, STC or even the "little guys" such as Harbuch (Hornsby), Elsema (remote control systems) and even Datamax with the 8" 80286 based disk drive computers, Microbee with their "killer" educational machines based on CPM (Gosford) and another in Blacktown (can't remember their name) who produced industrial S100 bus systems plus so many more .... all have faded into the mists of time - yikes this was all in the glorious days when Australia used to make things from scratch not just assemble products! Oh those were the days ....actually we have used a lot of these on OLD AWA equipment made for the broadcast industry yonks ago, leave a piece of gear in the backroom with a bit of humidity and these sockets tended to rust up or oxidise around the front barrel.
