Primary chemical contents are:
Methyl Alcohol (10% volume) This is a poisonous substance that can be absorbed through the eyes, skin, lungs, and digestive system. Overexposure can cause death.
Dioxane Short-term exposure to relatively high amounts of Dioxane results in liver and kidney toxicity (regardless of the route of exposure) and may be lethal
I guess a 'die-hard' film enthusiast may use this liquid although I would have thought a safer alternative may also be available. I think that the wisest choice would be to avoid using this cement at all costs, sure it could be great as a 'museum piece' for collectors of all things film but actually use it? It would seem the personal health risks are just too high
I have taken extra special precautions with this package of CINECOL and those precautions are detailed below ...
HISTORY:
My primary interests have always been electronics and the 'the arts' and more specifically, music, artwork and hand crafted/decorated chinaware's.
I have never really taken to film and am not a film enthusiast but an associate has asked me to find new owners for THEIR large collection of photographic and film items ... this is one of those items.
While the world of 8mm/Super 8mm/16mm is not my area of expertise, I am learning fast!

Circa 1980's (not sure about this, could be earlier)
Type: CINECOL (30mL or 30cc)
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED (Previously opened but barely any liquid has been used)
For all intent & purposes, this bottle contains 30mL
I have checked the liquid inside, very pungent smell! I would say a well ventilated room to work in would be a good idea!
The liquid is free flowing and not 'clumpy', totally clear.
These is an extra application brush (meaning there are two supplied) which is in good condition.
The top cap is not damaged (no splits etc) and provides a tight seal - no leakage!
SPECIAL NOTE:
I have packed the bottle of liquid within a thick clear plastic packet and heat sealed it. I have also done the same with the outer box, so in effect this bottle is 'double sealed" and completely airtight.
If being shipped, of course this item will be extremely (some might say overly) well cushioned against vibration and physical abuse while in transit.
I am not a shop, there will be no further ongoing supply of this CINECOL film cement - once the bottle has found a new owner, there will be no more
