HISTORY & SOME "BLURB"

USED DEVICE "PULLS"

TESTED both upon equipment removal (a long time ago from professional sound reinforcement amplifiers) and retested TODAY

Ex workshop spare parts and small manufacturing stock

Commonly found in high power audio amplifiers.

Watch out for online fakes, they abound in the market.

My asking price only just covers the time I have spent on testing this device, it has already "earned it's keep" in the past life (equipment was upgraded) AND I am big on reusing or repurposing old electronic components and hardware, particularly from the point of view of sustainability.

HERE is a page I have created which gives some tables and more detailed information about specific Ee values for different materials plus a link which you can use as a starting point to investigate Ee for yourself.

COSMETIC CONDITION:

USED

Not the "prettiest of ladies" but look past the appearance and these transistors are perfectly fine to press back into service

Case has obvious oxidisation

Pins are clean and ready to solder or plug in (not oxidised)

NEITHER pin has been cut

Both pins have had the solder properly removed - ready for reuse.

TESTING:

A bit of a chore but I set up my ESD safe work area, strapped myself up for zero discharge voltage and ONLY ever handled these devices by the case edge.

ALWAYS treat MOSFET's with the greatest respect, particularly with regard to the potential of harming the device through static discharge and if you do make a mistake, they may not even fail immediately. I have had devices mysteriously fail weeks later and the cause was traced back to a technician who refused to put on the ESD wristband in our workshops, and he was wearing a nylon shirt! Urghhh! recipe for disaster!

These devices being offered have ALWAYS been stored on a special pink ESD safe foam which was then inserted into an ESD bag, and this device will be supplied the same way.

Using my trusty component tester, I checked the Drain-Source voltage and capacitance. While this is not a thorough definitive test, it suffices as a Go/No Go test.

On the underside of each device, I have written the test results.

All MOSFET's offered are electronically fine, just not "pretty"
