The shield is spring loaded inside (springs are often used to assist keeping the valve secure when transporting the equipment)

There are actually 10 solder terminals underneath, 9 for the pins and a centre tag which connects to nothing, good common point for wiring
Black coated Aluminium top shield "twist and turn" type of fixing
