Consider this component as a type of extender, one side has the 9 male pins, the other end of the base has 8 female sockets for a valve.
This base extender has the added feature complete dismantling (if this was required for some reason). There is a central bolt, which when undone allows the two halves of the base extender to be separated which gives full access to the long pins and the soldered terminations for the topside socket.

There is NO pin numbering topside or underneath
When inserted into the equipment valve socket, this base raises the height of the original valve socket by 19.5mm

Supplied and remain in the original sealed plastic packets of one per packet
