I know this older model remote does suit the GX-5 Yamaha system but doubtlessly there are other Yamaha systems/components that this remote will talk to but it is up to the buyer to establish if this remote will work with their system.
Yamaha has released myriads of remotes, so look around online at images of the equipment you want to control and then find a photograph of the associated remote control. If the face of the remote looks similar to this one, you might be in with a chance - otherwise don't take the risk.
Remote controls are everything you would expect, CD/Tape/Tuner control/amplifier volume/sleep/input select etc
Clean BUT there is a plastic burn mark (topside upper right-hand side) which is not really bad but clearly visible. Underside is clean and unmarked.
Battery compartment contacts clean and undamaged
All buttons tested and functioning fine. How? I no longer have the GX-5 with me any longer but I have pushed every single button and checked for IR transmission from the front - all good.
