Oh Dear! This item has been sold but take a look around for other similar items

HISTORY:

This 12" woofer was removed from an old Bass guitar practice amplifier, actually two were fitted in the cabinet (it was a big luggable beast of a practice amp!) After years of being "dragged around", the case of the amp was shot to pieces but the loudspeakers inside remain in great shape! Time to find a new "purpose in life"!

Possibly for another (even custom made) guitar practice amp, up to around 50W (each speaker), OR even as a woofer in a home sound system, party speakers etc ... Yes, I do currently have two but have advertised them separately to provide the greatest flexibility. There is an automatic discount applied if the two speakers are purchased together.

These are NOT EMINENCE's (beautiful speakers for the professional musician) by any stretch of the imagination but they are "adequate" general purpose "woofies" with a particularly good bass response!

Please read on ...

TESTING:

This loudspeaker(s) was working fine in the practice amp, good sound without buzzing. Checked the cone movement, no rubbing and not "stiff" or rigid.

After removal from the amp cabinet, I rechecked the loudspeaker(s) (sitting outside a cabinet of course) and sent LF tones to the speaker to observe the cone movement, nice and they did not appear to be "struggling" even at 20Hz

I have now laid each loudspeaker onto stiff cardboard (cone down) and sealed in plastic to ensure no dust contamination while it(they) await a new owner.

PLEASE NOTE: this advertisement is for ONE Woofer but I do have TWO. If you enter 2 of these in my store checkout, a discounted price (for buying them both) is automatically applied.
