Oh Dear! This item has been sold but take a look around for other similar items

HISTORY:

Ex workshop stock in our audio post production facilities. How many times did we see a "fried" PA speaker tweeter, over the years we used to replace a lot of these piezo horn tweeters but now that the business has shut down due to retirement, this left over stock must find new owners - ready to come to the rescue in someone else's workshops!

This horn tweeter is USED but tested - we would often "pull" tweeters from cabinets and keep them aside as an "emergency" replacement in another system - often if a PA goes down, there is not much time to wait around for spare parts so we would press used components into service in the meantime.

MOTOROLA - Piezo Tweeter

Horn design

Part # 840 & 846 (see below for details of the two different numbers)

Frequency response 4Khz ~ 21Khz

Power handling: 100W RMS

These highly efficient piezo element based tweeters do NOT need a traditional loudspeaker crossover network

MEASUREMENTS:

As measured by micrometer

95mm diameter flange

55mm deep

Mounting hole distance between each (4) 60mm straight line or 85mm diagonal

COSMETIC CONDITION:

USED Old Stock

Excellent condition in all respects

NO tweeter damage

TESTING:

Being used, I rechecked the tweeter before offering to others.

I have three of these, each is identified by the part number on the rear (or is that the batch number?) and a small number I have written on each solder tag

Being piezo, there is no worthwhile DC resistance test

I pumped audio into these and ...

#846 (1) Working fine, in fact this tweeter has the best sound output level - the other two have a lesser output

#840 (2) Working fine but with a slightly lower output level when compared to the #846

#840 (3) Working fine but again, a slightly lower output level when compared to the #846

USED Ex PA cabinet "pull" Condition exactly as described
