EVERY workshop and roadie needs a lot of different adapters in their "kit", so often there is a need to reliably join two types of connectors either on the bench or in the field.
Pretty "stock standard" adapter often used for amp headphone outputs but your headphones may only have a 3.5mm plug fitted
All metal, Gold plate finished adapter which is "tough as nails", no delicate plastics (how often have you heard that "crunch" under your foot when stepping on el-cheapo adapters lying on the floor)!
