Never accept a DV tape that has been resealed/heatshrinked - always look for the small narrow opening band which is ONLY present on original tapes, inspect tapes offered for ANY signs of tampering - there are dodgy tapes out there (someone tried to offer us a bunch of DV tapes which had just been resealed with a bar sealer!)
