A group of school kids get together, make up the name JAPAN just before their first rock gig and go on to bigger things from 1974 until 1982.
Hansa record label is German, their most famous artist was probably Boney M but also Bowie had some mastering and recording work with them too.

Although JAPAN started off as a Glam rock act, this single was part of their change to a New Wave//Electronic dance style.
