Heavy cardboard cover is in good (minus) condition, certainly showing the years of handling! No tears, no personal writing with the exception of a hand-written note on the rear cover ($1.00). Top and bottom seams are fine but the spine has a seam split, this has been repaired very well. Extensive rubbing wear to both the front and rear graphics is pretty obvious.
New inner plastic sleeve is supplied
Vinyl media is in good (minus) condition, visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source I can see quite a number of very light ~ light scratches or scuff marks on either side, particularly Side A. It is obvious the album has been played A LOT and not very well looked after but fortunately this is the nice "hard/thick" vinyl used in the 1970's so it may not sound too bad. Just looking at the vinyl is not a good way to judge the vinyl condition so I then played the album ENTIRELY, every single track, and while there is certainly an increased level of surface noise, particularly in the quieter passages, it is not terrible and remains very listenable. One strange thing I kept hearing on Side A only, a sort of very low level "whirring" sound - weird! Clicks and pops are not of a serious nature, the worst being on Side B, track 2 (scratch) which creates that annoying click click click for a few seconds but fortunately it is of a low level.
There are NO mis-tracking events! So the album is pretty "tired" but it has obviously given many years of enjoyment and the listener has come back time and again for another listen - I can see why, this is really interesting music!
