Oh Dear! This item has been sold but take a look around for other similar items

Charles Hull pulled together a number of excellent jazz musicians with a wealth of talent and experience to create this (now) extremely difficult to find album ...

Personnel on this recording were:

John Coker - Bass guitar

Blair Greenberg - Percussion

Charles Hull - Keyboards, Vocals

Grahame Jesse - Flutes and Saxophones

Noel McDonald - Vocals

Ron Papps - Drums

Michael Reid - Guitars

Kevin Dubber - Brass

Miles Harris - Brass

Ed Wilson - Brass

Recorded by Paul Bryant - a distinguished Australian recording and mastering engineer who was active from the 1970's until around 2011

Mastered (the "Black Art") by Bill Ramsay - another distinguished Australian recording and mastering engineer who worked for EMI in Sydney from the 1950's and became Studio 301 (EMI) manager in the 1970's.

Jam Sound Studio was located up in Gosford, North of Sydney. Paul Bryant was their longest serving engineer until the studios ceased operations around 1979

I call this my Copy B because I was fortunate enough to have 2 copies of this album, the copy described below is a slightly lower grade (general cover ageing and one light scratch on the vinyl but no audible issues)

Copy A has found a new home and is no longer available

Cover is in very good condition, no tears, no seam splits and very light edge wear from handling BUT like the other copy I have, there is a light yellow tinge to the edges, particularly the front of the cover. If anything I would say this "yellowing" is slightly more apparent on this copy of the cover. The all white background shows this up very well! I suspect this is sunlight bleaching. Cleaned and sterilised just to be sure! You can also see a small grey/black dot on the front central area near the spine and just below the printed word COKER is a crease in the lamination, and finally there is a very small edge crease where the top edge meets the spine. All of these things are minor but may be of important to a buyer of this music.

New inner plastic liner sleeve

Vinyl is in very good condition on both sides, visually inspected carefully under a white halogen light source and I can see just one very light scratch on Side A and no scratches or marks on Side B. A visual inspection of a vinyl record just doesn't cut it most of the time (and I love listening to the music anyway) so I have played both sides of this album ENTIRELY. There are no issues with surface noise or clicks/pops (I paid particular attention to Side A with that very light scratch), this is truly a very enjoyable album of funkeeee jazz from Australian performers - nice play!
