PREFACE:

The beauty of cassette and reel to reel tape recordings is that often I find music that was never released on other formats, demo's, pre-production masters etc

This cassette recording appears to be of extremely limited release and the /artist/performer/music is most interesting

I did my best to get "up to speed" on the bio of Andy (Andreas) Holm and it appears he was born in Germany 1960. Moved to India for a few years and then came "down under" around 1987 and lived up in Byron Bay area.

Andy is a multi-instrumentalist and very versatile  filmmakercomposerworld music artist and didgerido musician but he is not limited to the didg as he also plays flute, sitarberimbau, kalimba, drums, keyboard, synthesiser and many more - this guy is a one man band and he sings (occasionally)!

He has toured outside of Australia and I think moved to Thailand sometime around 2012 but I am not sure if his studio remains up in Byron Bay.

I cannot find any references to this cassette recording anywhere.

I do not know what the Bondi Release Orchestra is and I don't know about the reference to Homework

I am assuming this was a project undertaken by Andreas for short film or documentary perhaps?

Anyway, I hope someone can appreciate this recording and enjoy it - even if only for musical historical purposes (but the music is great too!)

I am only asking a "token" price on this cassette recording to cover my time and effort in providing this tape to someone else.

Australian release

1992

Cassette packaging is in good condition, some ageing/yellowing to the label on both sides. There is no cover/sleeve insert - just in the bare cassette case.

Test machine, my favourite the Nakamichi 480

Before playing, I have repacked the tape, and played both sides entirely - no issues with the shell or tape at all, no "drop outs" or high frequency loss across all songs.

Tape media is in good condition - I have played this tape entirely and in my opinion the audio is full range with plenty of low end and highs. Nice recording actually!

Tracks: I have no idea what the song titles might be - around 6/7 songs on each side with a running time of approximate 30 minutes per side.

Side A is all instrumental

Side B has Andreas adding his vocals

I have made some "rough" acoustic recordings of a track or two, to give you an idea of the music Andreas was creating at this time (he was 32 when these were recorded) but haven't yet added them to this advertisement but in the meantime ....

Here is a video (with his music) Andy made back in 2006 ... gives you an idea of his creativity
