USED (but not used!)
? I hear you thinking, what does that mean?
Ex our production facilities, our business has now closed down (retired) and all the bits & pieces must find new owners. This nice wirewound resistor from Dale was used in one of our power supply designs and I have removed the resistor from an uncompleted production unit - yes it had been installed (sitting in a U channel of aluminium) but not one uA of current has ever passed through it!
I hated the idea of throwing out the whole partially completed unit so this resistor has been extracted for someone else to use.
DALE are synonymous with high quality & reliability in the world of power resistors. Like so many other great component manufacturers, they have been "swallowed up" by Vishay!

This model of power resistor has mounting holes INSIDE the ceramic body (metal threaded) so it can be mounted using the bolts seen in the photograph.
There is NO electrical connection between these mounting points and the resistor.

15.5mm diameter x 51mm length
Solder terminals (tag style) at each end, side mounted.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED Ex production "rescue"
NO body damage
NO signs of component "stress"
Solder terminals have been tinned with fresh solder, ready to go!
TESTING:
Being used (but not used), I decided to check the resistance and insulation resistance between the mounting bolt area and either terminal.
Measures EXACTLY 25.00Ω (Ohm) resistance element
Infinity reading between the mounting points and the resistance element.
Now stored in a sealed clear plastic packet
