TESTING:
Being OLD potentiometers, they should be checked, no matter who made them!
I have measured the DC resistance of the track, smooth rotational operation and variation in resistance as the wiper travels the track
Track measures 5.553K in it's entirety and a minimum of 1.5 Ohm between the wiper and one end.
The wiper travel produced a smooth even change in resistance across the track with no "dead spots" observed
To maintain the condition of this potentiometer, it is now sealed in a clear plastic packet
