HISTORY:

My primary interests have always been electronics and the 'the arts' and more specifically, music, artwork and hand crafted/decorated chinaware's.

I have never really taken to film and am not a film enthusiast but an associate has asked me to find new owners for THEIR large collection of photographic and film items ... this is one of those items.

While the world of 8mm/Super 8mm is not my area of expertise, I am learning fast! and my training in electronics helps too!

If this lamp is of interest to you, it is up to you to establish that this is the correct lamp for your projector

PLEASE NOTE:

This lamp has the appearance of being used previously, how many hours? No idea unfortunately, this lamp was in the box of "NEW and SPARE LAMPS"

For this reason, I have a very low asking price which barely covers the time spent on the creation of this advertisement.

ATLAS - Film Projector lamp

Made in Great Britain

Circa 1980's

Type: Quartz Halogen

Part # A1/229

6V 50W

Packaged in a SYLVANIA box, part numbers (printed in RED) taken from the base of the lamp.

COSMETIC CONDITION:

USED

Packaging is all very clean but not the original ATLAS packaging

Outside of the box is clean

I have opened the box to check the contents ...

Top "snap fit" lamp/reflector protector has light signs of use

Lamp//reflector look to be in great condition in the forward direction but I noticed on the 'back' of the reflector are little Brown marks, like a rust. These marks are ONLY on the rear, not the front of the reflector.

Pins are clean and shiny

The DC resistance (COLD) is measured at less than 1 Ohm, all good. My intention here is to check for an "open circuit" and my current test equipment is not accurate at sub-one Ohm measurements.

Remember that when handling these lamps, ALWAYS use cotton gloves or at the very minimum, a cloth - you do not want to get oil from your skin onto the lamp or reflector.

To maintain the current condition of this lamp, I have now sealed the complete box within an additional clear plastic packet.

I am not a shop, there will be no further ongoing supply of these lamps - once the stock has found new homes, there will be no more

USED Based on incorrect outer box and wear showing to the protector disc
