These Op amps are the audio workhorses in the audio industry, been around for years and still in common use BUT what is not so common is these Raytheon's, now there's a name you don't hear around the traps much any more ...
Raytheon has been around for a LONG time, initially producing domestic appliances! These days they are primarily an aerospace and defence organisation so you don't see many of their products in the "main-stream" marketplace.
The Op amps are NOT the same as your Philips or other 5534 series, the pinouts are the same but the specifications differ slightly.....please see one of the photographs showing a partial comparison chart.

Country of manufacture is not indicated on the chip but is undoubtedly USA
Manufacturing codes: RC5534N C8312 (NO logo or other markings on the chip) I assume the C8312 code is the batch number, all chips that I have are of the same code
