Integrated circuit sockets are all the same, right? WRONG ...
IC sockets come in many shapes, sizes, physical design, packaging and with different contact materials, it is important that you read the description below to establish if this is the type of socket you want.
These are wire wrap IC sockets, for 22 pin devices
Wire wrap? Commonly used in years gone by but this connection technique still has it's place in R&D especially - no soldering with the wiring "wrapped" around a square post which actually makes a better electrical connection than solder techniques. Not much good for high density boards though.

I do not know who made these, the only marking on the body is CA (stamped into the plastic)

Twin wiper leaf contacts (Nickel plated)
22 Pin (11 x 2) DIL standard configuration
Wire leads are 17mm length
Package body width 12.5mm x 27.6mm length (real estate taken on the veroboard/pegboard)

All sockets, with the exception of one, have the protective cover fitted - just unclip (tight fit) to reveal the socket contacts underneath

Straight pins
Now stored on thick foam (to protect the legs) and sealed in clear plastic - this is how they will be supplied
