Bright green/blue display - easy to read in all light conditions

External interface: 26 way connector

Module includes ALL electronics (VFD, one chip controller, driver IC and local DC/DC power supply) basic system requirements are 5V rail at around 800mA

Do not be lulled into thinking that at 5V supply rail this can be handled carelessly - onboard high voltage supplies exist for the VFD - DO NOT TOUCH while in operation!

Character display is by a 5 x 7 dot matrix

Screen brightness can be controlled in 5 step levels

Interface can be parallel or serial data (1200 to 9600) - selectable

Built in self test function

Both the self test and parallel/serial selection are easy to access via the onboard jumper positions J1 & J2 and pin 16 of the connector.

A great high quality dot matrix display module for the experimenter, R&D purposes or even service repair.

On the experimental side, I know a few users of these have interfaced them to their Arduino projects.
