This Australian, high quality high power transformer is designed for use with the domestic 240V 50Hz single phase mains supply and drops the voltage down to 120V AC (still 50Hz) and there are TWO separate outputs, each capable of up to 10A!
Perfect for those who have imported their prized American electronic equipment! Actually this transformer is more than capable of running such equipment, with a total power rating of 2400 Watts at the secondary (2x 120V windings, each being capable of 1200W)
Not interested in running 120V (USA and others) equipment? Then connect the two secondaries in phase and you have a nice grunty 240V isolation transformer.

I have checked the winding isolation (primary to secondary and also between secondaries) and also the output voltages on the secondaries - all fine.
DC resistance of the windings, approximation because of the inaccuracies of my meter at such low resistances

WARNING ONE:
This is a VERY VERY HEAVY TRANSFORMER, TAKE GREAT CARE LIFTING THIS BEAST!
IT IS ALSO PROBABLY ONE OF THE LARGEST TOROIDAL TRANSFORMERS YOU WILL COME ACROSS IN THE DOMESTIC MARKET!
WARNING TWO:
SAFETY
When using this transformer, your safety (and that of others using the equipment once the transformer is installed) is paramount!
You are dealing with 240V AC at VERY HIGH currents (for the domestic scene anyway)
Only a skilled, licensed electrician should be installing and wiring this equipment - this is not something a hobbyist should be playing around with - to do so could be lethal!
A decent Australian approved toroid with this current capability will never be cheap and I seem to remember these set us back a lot of money all those years ago, around A$900!.
Greatly reduced asking price purely because I have no need of this transformer and it is SO HARD to move around, being so heavy.
