The buyer must establish beforehand that this remote suits their own LG entertainment equipment

How?

Try looking in the user manual, if you have one.

If the manual is not available, try to see if the remote button layout looks "right" compared to your old remote - a bit hit & miss though, particularly difficult if the old remote is missing!

Please be aware that every single remote sends a unique code to the equipment under control, just because you may have an LG STB or television, it does not mean this remote will control it. That said, "apparently" this remote can be reprogrammed for use with other televisions/STB's (LG only?) but I have no information on how to set about doing this - I do see user manuals online for this remote though.

LG - Remote Control ONLY

Retro

Designed to control an LG High Definition Television Set Top Box Model: LST-4100P ALTHOUGH I see that in a review of the LST-4100P, mention is made that this remote can be programmed as a universal remote, now that's handy! The review is HERE

CLEAN

While ALMOST all of the labelling shows very little wear 'n' tear (rubbing), I suspect the Lime coloured buttons used to also have labelling on the top, I am not sure about this though. Those 9 Lime Green buttons have a special impregnation so that they retain light (meaning they glow in the dark) for a period of time after the Lounge/Home Theatre lights are turned off.

There is also a mark just above the TV/INPUT button (next to the top right hand Green POWER button) but the labelling can still be read anyway.

Battery compartment clean and undamaged (no rust or corrosion due to leaking batteries!), this uses 2x AAA batteries

TESTING:

Being a used remote, I check any remote to the best of my ability

My testing method is to insert batteries and "look" (using my security camera's) for the IR emissions from the remote control and ensuring every single button sends out an IR code. I must assume though that the codes being sent are correct, I do not have this model of HD television STB unfortunately.

ALL buttons on this remote are functioning great!

Stored/supplied in a sealed plastic packet to maintain its current condition

Batteries will NOT be supplied (2x AAA batteries) to prevent any issues with Australia Post (they are very risk adverse to shipping packages with batteries inside) and also this keeps the shipping weight down to a minimum
