HISTORY:
A long time ago one of our business activities revolved around DVD players for use in motor vehicles. This power adapter from SAMSUNG is designed to run one of their DVD players for "in-car" use.
The DVD players are long gone but I still have some of these power adapters and while it is unlikely somebody is still using the DVD player, this power adapter may be useful or re-purposed for other mobile power purposes.

TESTING:
Test input voltage 12.5V DC
Three wires at the output ...
BLACK - Common or Negative
GREEN - +12V
RED - +6.8V
Checked the DC outputs (no load conditions), measures +12.4V DC and +6.85V DC
Checked the short circuit protection, all working fine.
Repurposing thoughts ...
First up, if the thought was to get "inside" and try to adjust the 6.8V rail then there is a problem. This case looks to be thermo plastic sealed - no screws at all, so to get inside will likely involve destroying the case.
A good source of a cigarette lighter plug (with built in fuse holder) and the build quality of the plug is good.
Removal of the existing output plug is easy (cut it off!) and this exposes just 3 wires which then give easy access to the two outputs.
