Most "technically inclined" people can roughly work out the cost of the energy they are using but little gadgets such as this "Consumption Meter" can be handy to have around, particularly with our spiralling energy costs!
We had a number of these units in our business, we wanted to check the power consumption of various pieces of equipment used in production and found them useful. It would have been nice to have "fancy features" such as external monitoring or a data port but for the money, these are pretty good value.
Just program your current tariff (you may need to do this at regular intervals due to the ever increasing charges!) and the device does the rest, showing you in dollars how much power you are using.
This device is ONLY suitable for a normal 240V 10A GPO (domestic type 3 pin socket) so forget about monitoring your air-con 3 phase supply!
