Oh Dear! This item has been sold but take a look around for other similar items

HISTORY:

Sustainability is the name of the game! Anything (that has been tested and still functioning properly) should be repurposed creating saving in wasted Ee and reducing the poisoning our environment when items are buried in the earth at the local tip needlessly.

Even if the module or equipment is not working, salvage the parts - they all represent previously spent energy to create and should be repurposed where possible.

Never heard of Ee? It is a concept that creates a measurement of ALL things (not just electronics) that humans have made and the energy used in obtaining the raw material, processing the materials right through to a finished product and even should include the shipping of the item to the distributors/retailers.

If you would like to know more about Ee values, please take a look HERE

I have been digging around in my box of "I must get onto that project" and other misc bits & pieces, tested them where I can or have the time and now they are all listed below.

Some are audio, some are low power DC related and others just miscellaneous in nature.

Almost all the modules are fully constructed but NEVER been taken further i.e not installed in equipment, a bit of R & D that never got off the ground!

HERE IS HOW TO PURCHASE ONE OR MORE OF THESE.

Each item has a number, the price showing in this advertisement is for ANY ONE ITEM - every item is numbered from 1 ~ 16

If buying less than ALL of the items, it is important that you indicate in the order message section which item numbers you want!

Of course, for me it is best if someone finds a use for ALL of these and they purchase all 16 items - I have enabled automatic discounting to occur when a client chooses ALL of the items (16 of them - just put the quantity as 16 and you will see an immediate discount applied in the checkout area (50%)

1: WIRELESS TRANSMITTER with inbuilt electret microphone

No identification on the board

Power: 9V battery

Scanned the output (it works and audio too!) and I have output at 102.500Mhz (plus I found weaker signals going right up to 411Mhz)

SOLD 2: MINI STYLUS ORGAN

PCB identified as:

EC721 4A KJ 821 4

JAYCAR

MINI STYLUS ORGAN

SHRTC208

Power: 9V battery

It still works! Using the stylus I can play music (no chords!) Trimmer pot on board to adjust the output level from the small loudspeaker. ON-OFF switch mounted on the PCB

3: EA 97vda13 PCB ONLY (Unused)

PCB made by RCS in Sydney, double sided, tinned

I cannot find this project listed in the Electronics Australia index of projects but can tell you it was published in 1997 and it looks to be a video distribution amplifier, 8x analog video inputs and 8x video outputs, uses 2x integrated circuits and the supply into the board is 6-0-6V AC

4: RESISTANCE (5 Ohms) LADDER

20x RIKEN RS3FS 100 OHM resistors all wired in parallel

The famous (in the audio world) RIKEN resistors

I cannot find specifications on the RS3FS resistors so although they 'appear' to be wirewound, I have also seen RIKEN carbon composite resistors in this style of packaging. I also do not know their power dissipation but suspect it is 3 Watts each (a guess based on the 3 in the part number)

Each resistor is marked as

RS3FS

100 Ω J

RIKEN

SOLD 5: ELECTRONICS TODAY INTERNATIONAL Magazine (ETI) 413 Audio Power Amplifier Module

Single channel

Dating from 1975, Volume 1! This was a nice audio project touted for guitar amplifiers of the day. The output transistors (2N3055/MJ2955 pairs)

Basic circuit diagram is in one of the photographs, there is still some chit-chat online about these modules

Fully constructed but NOT tested (it would be a good idea to check the HITANO caps for leakage after almost 50 years! If just for 'pulls', the two TO-5 transistors are 2N3440 & 2N5416 and a couple of BFX30's I think they were/are (physically held together and I cannot read the type number)

6: HIGH RANGE ADJUSTABLE TEMPERATURE SWITCH MODULE

Jaycar KC5376 Look HERE

Complete with the LCD 3.5 Digit LCD Panel meter

Never pressed into service, basically like new and never used module. The LCD panel meter was prepared for use (strapping etc) but also not used and in fact still in the original box (Catalogue number QP5570) runs off 5V and useful for many other projects requiring a good, low cost LCD meter

7: 50W AUDIO AMPLIFIER MODULE FYFE ELECTRONICS

Single channel

Unless you have some of this audio equipment, probably only useful for spare parts. I do NOT have a circuit diagram but from the appearance of this board it is the input/driver/output board

Input amp is an LF353 (8 pin DIL) and the driver hybrid ic is a LM3886T, quite a small package but according to the datasheet this ic can produce up to 68W RMS output - there would have to be a decent heatsink on the back to run this (none has ever been fitted/no signs of silicon grease)

8: SWITCHING POWER SUPPLY FOR LUXEON STAR LEDS - Silicon Chip 2004

I believe the complete Silicon Chip article may be available online, try this LINK as a starting point

Complete, built module - never used

Untested, just been sitting in the "must get to that one day" box

9: UNIDENTIFIED PCB with an interesting TO-3 transistor

No ID markings on the board, underneath or topside

I cannot remember what this board was used for! Possible an ignition system but my original plans escape me now...

Nice TO-3 steel cased Motorola transistor (Si NPN 400V designed for high voltage, high speed and power switching in inductive circuits)

The chip in the socket is a garden variety NE555 acting as a clock

I am pretty sure I put this together to check something out and then disconnected and put it away again, to be forgotten with time

10: REGULATOR BOARDS based on a LM317T 3 terminal regulator

Both boards quickly tested, 15 ~ 24V input and a fixed 12V output with both boards

Complete and ready for repurposing, I have two of these which are ALMOST identical

Ready to hook up

BOARD 1:

One end of the board has the wiring terminated with spade type connectors - this is your input voltage source (red going to pin 3 of the 317T) DC ONLY

Wires on the side are the output, the voltage is set by the 2% resistors already fitted (at the moment 12V) - change these resistors to suit your voltage output needs.

BOARD 2:

Very similar to Board 1 but with the additional of a bridge rectifier block at the input, meaning you can feed AC into the regulator

Both boards have a lengthy cable terminated with DC female plugs (5.5mm OD 2.2mm ID hole)

11: UNIDENTIFIED REGULATOR BOARDS - DUAL RAIL (for Op Amps etc)

BOARD 1:

Very similar to the regulator boards described in section 10 but this one has 2x 3 terminal regulators (317T & 337T) to provide a positive and negative rail for Op amps @ around 1A capable (plenty for most uses)

The heavier Green/Black/Red wires are the input source voltage (Red positive, Black negative and Green common)

Output is available on the lighter gauge wires (coiled up near the regulators in the photograph)

Again, checked both rails and I seem to have set the adjust resistor values for around 15V output on each side of common.

BOARD 2:

Not tested, the connection points (no wiring) are not obvious and I don't wish to spend a great deal of time with these. Same sort of layout but more "developed" than Board 1. Undoubtly 2x LM3xx devices under the heatsink (didn't look) and the filter capacitors are low profile Jamicon's 2200uF/25V, there is a bridge rectifier fitted so AC input is fine.

12: ANTI-STATIC (ESD) LEAD

It's not a module but was in my box of bits and pieces and I already have a number of these. NO wrist strap provided, this is just the lead (over 4 metres long) with the push clip for the wrist strap at one end and a large alligator clip at the other.

13: SMALL TEMPERATURE PROBE (NTC)

Measured the resistance at ambient room temperature (25C) as 3.8 Ohm. Increased the tip temperature with my finger and it rapidly fell towards 1.8 Ohm - very simple test and I haven't checked the range or accuracy but it might be useful to someone once the characteristics and a resistance/temp chart is created

NO markings on the probe at all

14: CHROMATIC TUNER AROMA AT-300B

Clip on BUT THE CLIP IS MISSING!

3 Ranges: Chromatic 12 note, Guitar (6 string/7 string) and Bass (4 string, 5 string & 6 string)

Quite a popular little guitar tuner, FULLY FUNCTIONING (2032 button battery supplied fitted) albiet that missing clip

Here is a video of this tiny little device in action

15: CUSTOM "REFERENCE STANDARD" FOR TEST EQUIPMENT

Made a long time ago, very unlikely to be of use 'as is' but it is easy to get inside the clear perspex block and instal your own 'standards' or 'reference'

Externally there are 4x banana plugs (silver plated) for 'block insertion' into a front panel or similar - think outside the box and I am sure someone can adapt this nice little block to a different use/reference source. Oh? What's inside it at the moment? 3x quartz crystals and a VISHAY 1K Ohm variable trimmer resistor

16: UNIDENTIFIED MODULE - possibly an in-rush current limiter but not sure

Obviously runs off a 9V battery but I cannot recall where the module was used. PCB underneath only identified as EMP-1. Interesting 8 pin DIL Op amp used, the Ti TLE2142 precision Op amp and two of the electro's (22uF 16V) are HITACHI Gold types and other two electro's are JAMICON's (22uF 50V) Three PCB pins for external connections, but to what? Their purpose is not indicated. Nice PCB mounted Push ON Push OFF DPDT switch with white knob
