AVF (USA) - Wall Mounting Loudspeaker Support Arms
Intended use: Small loudspeaker systems e.g bookshelf or studio monitors
ALL metal construction, 1.5mm thick steel rectangular tubing
Horizontal position adjustment through 90 degrees (45 degrees off centre each side)
Vertical position adjustment 10 degrees (5 degrees off level up and down)
DIMENSIONS:
Rear mounting plate is 135mm x 50mm with 3x mounting holes OR a "slot and lock" fitting (this male component to the slot & lock is NOT supplied)
Main arm (rectangular 1.5mm steel 31mm x 20mm) is 160mm Length
A steel U section slides into the end of this main arm and is locked in position by a large screw.
This U section has the loudspeaker stop welded into the end of it, with 2x holes for screwing into the UNDERNEATH of the loudspeaker cabinet.
A separate steel bracket is fitted onto the main arm and this provides the loudspeaker stop closest to the wall.
Approximate safe fitting area: 270mm front to back
Approximate safe fitting width: 360mm wide
When the loudspeaker is mounted on the arm, the clearance between the loudspeaker rear and the wall is 50mm
Of course you can side orientate the loudspeakers, depending upon physical requirements.
For example, we used this same type of support arm in one of the studios with a pair of Tannoy PMB 6.5's (Vintage yes but that's what we liked) and I have seen other studios using these with Yamaha HS8's but SIDE ORIENTATED - worked fine for their particular needs.
Each arm will easily support at least up to 20Kg of loudspeaker, plenty for small monitor speakers.
