Oh Dear! This item has been sold but take a look around for other similar items

Ex professional studio/live gig equipment stage leads

We had an artist using these that wanted "something special" and this type of jack plug certainly filled that need. The design is "different" eye-catching and at the same time, extremely reliable and functional.

The same artist also used our "all solid brass" (very very nice visually) jack plugs with bright red cable, I haven't found any more of those leads yet!

UNKNOWN MANUFACTURER - 1/4" Jack Plug

It was a long time ago that we purchased these and made up our own high quality leads based on Canare cable but I "think" we sourced these from either UK or USA, the former being most likely.

Purchased in the mid 1980's

Orientation: Right Angle

Finish: Chrome plating on an all diecast metal body (zero plastic!)

This is not a lightweight chrome plating over the metal, it is nice and robust and even though used in the past it barely shows any scratching from use.

Solid, secure twin cable clamping system which holds the cable both on the topside and underneath due to the design used

NOTE: the quite different termination system, much easier to work with than standard jack plugs

Tip termination uses all brass washers and nuts

Tip shape is the common "spear head" used on most contemporary jack plugs

DIMENSIONS:

33mm plug length

16.1mm body secured to the plug so the total length in one direction is 49.1mm

Body extends at a right angle 31mm, the base of which has the cable entry hole

WEIGHT: 20g

COSMETIC CONDITION:

USED

CLEAN

Chrome has a high lustre, NO pitting or significant scratching can be seen

Solder termination is clean without excessive "dags"

NOTE: The sleeve connection uses a pretty standard solder tag but the Tip connection requires the cable central core to be "looped" and inserted between the brass washers/nuts - a sandwich style termination which does not require soldering.

A quick polish up with metal cleaner would be a good idea on those brass washers/nuts

I have now placed these little beauties into single packs and sealed each jack plug so that the new owner receives them in top condition
