Ex broadcast industry standard 19" subrack frame

Typically these aluminium rails are used to support heavier Eurocard/DIN 41612 slide in modules such as power supplies or AC transformer cards where a standard nylon or plastic guide rail may not support the weight of the card sufficiently.

Subframe hardware can be VERY expensive! Using these not only saves our planet's resources (re-using) but saves big money on your next subframe project!

UNKNOWN MANUFACTURER - Card Guide Rail (1)

These were extracted from either Vero or Schroff subrack frames but I cannot see any identification numbers at all on the component

This advertisement price is for one rail (in the interests of the greatest flexibility to the user) although in normal circumstances you would need two rails, one upper and one lower.

MATERIAL: high standard extruded raw Aluminium

DIMENSIONS:

TOTAL LENGTH: 200mm

Two mounting holes, one at each end of the rail

MOUNTING HOLE to HOLE: 180mm

MOUNTING HOLE DIAMETER: 3mm

A "locating dimple" is pressed into the Aluminium between the mounting hole and the rail end, 6mm between the hole and the dimple

The extrusion could be roughly described as an H shape but the upper section of the H is smaller than the lower section.

NORMAL ORIENTATION (mounting rail so that cards are inserted vertically)

Card sits 2.75mm down inside the card rail

Card rail width is 2mm

SIDEWAYS ORIENTATION (mounting the rail so that cards are inserted horizontally)

Card will now sit 3.75mm down inside the card rail

Card rail width is wider at 2.25mm

Each rail supplied with the two original mounting bolts which screw into the subrack framework
