English chinaware - Alfred Meakin

Bleu De Roi is the name of the design, Alfred Meakin produced various decoration patterns within this design - this is the 1867 pattern.

Design: Bleu De Roi

Pattern #1867

Bleu De Roi is a French term, which in English means "Kings Blue"

Based on the makers mark underneath each piece, these items were produced post 1945, the exact year cannot be determined but certainly not earlier than 1945

TEA SERVICE, comprising of:

5x cups (the photographs show six but one cup only has been sold by itself)

6x saucers

4x cake/sandwich plates *** Yes, two plates have been broken and not replaced

16  pieces in total

All pieces are in very good condition and all pieces are showing very little signs of wear n tear although the inside of some teacups has light crazing with tannin staining (not heavy) and the tea cup handles have some medium wear to the gold gilding due to handling.

No obvious cracks on any piece

A couple of "fleabites" under the saucers and plates but nothing of any concern

Some light crazing/tannin marks (tea) inside the tea cups

All saucers/plates have the makers mark (gold stamped) along with the factory workers ID "marks"

The tea cups do not have this (normal) but ENGLAND is impressed into the base

These are original pieces, not reproductions

My asking price is for the complete tea service as listed above BUT I am willing to consider selling part of the tea service by negotiation
