Australian airline historical record

This record was a promotional release (marketing) by regional operator East West Airlines which began operations out of Tamworth NSW in 1947 and ceased in 1993

Song of Australia is a pop ballad, female vocalist. Rousing nationalist/patriotic song in the vein of the song Qantas used years later.

Composer of both songs was TW & G Moeller and we "suspect" that he is in fact Thomas (John George) Moeller of Unit 4+2 fame (UK pop in the 1960's) who emigrated to Australia and has been a very successful songwriter and performer.

Partial lyrics

"We are song and we know where we belong

We are the song of Australia

The song is you and me"

Girls Who Fly is very 80's funky, disco beat song.

"Shes want to be

one of the girls

who fly

Fasten your seat belts

Get set

Yeah!"

There are no credits given to the vocalist, backing singers or the musicians used on either song
