HISTORY:

Removed from a working environment, retired from service due to an upgrade - fully functional EXCEPT for a fan issue (see the details below)

 

COSMETIC CONDITION:

Clean with some usual minor scuff marks to the top of the cabinet.

Rack ears are fitted

TESTING:

Powers up, boots fine

ALL fans running at "normal" noise levels - which is pretty high dBA levels in equipment of this type, however one of the fans (don't know which one) is making a light bearing type of noise. This will be the cause of the fan error indicated in the system self diagnostics - the rotational speed is not within tolerances.

It must be understood that the fans are all doing their job, but one of them is not quite pulling its weight! For non-critical use this is not an issue.

Running Extremeware 7.8

System has been reset so login/password is

admin

BLANK (meaning, just use <CR> no character entered)

So management access is clean as is the current configuration. I have not undertaken any further configuration steps.
