Designed for Domestic or Business standard single line telephone conversation recording

Excellent where it may be necessary to review an incoming call or the outgoing voice responses made during a telephone call

Domestic telephone use where the user is experiencing abusive or threats made via the landline telephone.

For use where you must have long term storage of ALL telephone conversations both incoming and outgoing and easy locating of particular conversations in the past

Think of this equipment as a "tape recorder" sitting on the telephone line but with the advantage that the recordings are made to CDr and can be removed for safe keeping or presented to a 3rd party as "evidence"

All recordings are "date-time stamped" and searchable

Suits all single line analog telephones, uses standard POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) RJ12 sockets

This model enables you to long term store all phone conversations to CDR media for off-site secure storage.

It also has a card slot on the left-hand side for the OPTIONAL crypto card which means that no recordings can be played back without the card and pin number - secure. The cryptocard is NOT supplied

Vidicode can be contacted at http://www.vidicode.com if you wish to find out about the card or their PC based access software.

This model stores to CDR - not USB or other removal media

Recordings can either be started/stopped manually or automatically

A full manual is available, although using the equipment is pretty intuitive anyway.
I also have PC software so you can "talk" to this Vidicode from a PC

COSMETIC CONDITION:

In excellent condition, one small "dark spot" on the LCD screen due to a drop when we were dismantling the system from our old business but this in no way affects the useability of the unit

TESTING:

Very easy to use and setup.

Runs off the supplied power pack.

At power on, the system does a self test.

When the tests are completed, the unit sits idle displaying the date, time and CALL RECORDER

NOTE** I have set the date time already

I then connected the unit between an incoming POTS telephone service (normal "Telstra" telephone line) and the telephone handset.

Made a call out, the unit automatically records the number I am dialling, the date time and you can listen on Loudspeaker (if desired) to the call. Once the call is answered, the unit records the duration of the call and shows the level of audio on the telephone line.

I did the same thing but on an incoming call, the unit recorded the incoming call duration. NOTE** the unit can detected the number dialled on outgoing calls but will NOT know the number of incoming calls - there is no Caller ID built in.

In each case, when a call is completed, the display shows COPY TO CD - then BUSY - then reverts to the normal idle screen. This copying to CD and back to ready phase is very fast, so you do not need for the machine to be ready between each call.

You can either use the front panel controls to search for a particular call or just play them all. Searching from the front panel is very simple, either by date/time or by code (telephone number) Of course, if you get the PC software from Vidicode you can do everything remotely on a PC via a network connection.

One CDr will record up to 250 minutes of conversations, a DVDr will record up to 28 hours of telephone calls.

Other uses are:

Group Therapy sessions
Radioroom despatch
Radio Station call in lines
