HISTORY:
Sustainability is the name of the game! Anything (that has been tested and still functioning properly) should be repurposed creating saving in wasted Ee and reducing the poisoning our environment when items are buried in the earth at the local tip needlessly.
Never heard of Ee? It is a concept that creates a measurement of ALL things (not just electronics) that humans have made and the energy used in obtaining the raw material, processing the materials right through to a finished product and even should include the shipping of the item to the distributors/retailers.

This component has been removed from working (but obsolete) electronic equipment used in the broadcast industry. The nature of this component means that it has had very little (if any) adjustments made in it's lifetime because usually these trimmers are adjusted at initial setup and then never changed again, so track wear barely needs consideration.
The beauty of these trimmers is that they are high quality precision SEALED units and perfect to replace old trimmer pots on PCB's that are 'open frame' and subject to contamination by the environment.
Very fine adjustment of the resistance at the wiper from either end of the track is possible because this is a 25 turn trimmer - no more wildly varying bias current adjustments jumping all over the place as you adjust those horrible open frame trimmer pots (Oh how I hate them!)
Of course you will need to make sure the pin spacing suits the PCB you are working on and I have provided physical specifications of this component.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE/TESTING:
As these are old used components, I have developed a process of removal which ensures extremely fast removal from the original PCB with practically no heat being conducted up the pins into the component.
Once extracted from the PCB, the pins are relatively clean of solder but may need a "touch up" before reinserting into another board.
NO pins have been cut, these will fit 'standard' thickness substrates.
After removal I undertook the laborious task of measuring the track resistance and ensuring the wiper smoothly travelled along the track with a resulting smooth resistance change. A lot of trouble for such small physical components which have little monetary value but the sustainability is what makes it all worthwhile.
