THIS GOSSEN PANEL METER IS A  "PULL" - REMOVED/WORKING

Ex obsolete (no longer has a useful purpose) W & G DLM-1 Data Test Equipment

The DLM-1 is very typical German professional equipment, engineered beautifully and it uses top class components, high spec and designed/built for reliable operation but alas, there is no market for this equipment (analog fixed frequency 1Khz & 2Khz data send/receive test meter) so I have salvaged what I feel may be components of interest/use for a restoration project or home-brewer.

W&G produced some great audio analysis equipment but the DLM-1 really has no real use outside of the retro telecommunications fields.

Gossen (Germany)

Type: 600uA FSD moving coil meter

Large front viewing window 92mm x 43mm

Side illuminated (both sides)

Absolutely complete with terminals, lamps and their holders, mounting rear brackets and securing bolts

Actual meter size is 102mm wide x 78mm high

Zero adjustment screw

Meter movement barrel is 54mm diameter x 35mm deep

Meter thickness is 11mm so the TOTAL front to back depth is 46mm

The side lamps slide into place on a pin - easy fitting, terminated with solder tags

The lamp is 6V 70mA and is a miniature type, push and turn fitting - not your standard bayonet or screw type.

The movement is HEAVY (200g), much heavier than many Japanese movements I have been handling lately

COSMETIC CONDITION:

No issues at all - clean and undamaged

Face is unscratched or damaged

TESTING:
Removed from the DLM-1 and known to be working while I was testing the DLM-1 before dismantling.

Both incandescent lamps are fine, cold resistance of each is in the range 10 ~ 11 Ohms

FACE DECAL NOTES:

The face plate can quite easily be removed (side clips which are NOT damaged) - just take care!

This then exposes the face of the meter. It is held in place by two screws (normally these are out of sight) - unscrew these and the metal front face will come off.

Relabel the face to your requirements, then re-assemble and you have a custom purpose meter!
