Oh Dear! This item has been sold but take a look around for other similar items

This incandescent lamp dates from the 1980's and was used in broadcast panel operator switches (lamp glows when the switch is active)

These are perfect for use in other equipment requiring such lamps, not just broadcast operator panels!

No type or model number found

Single filament

DIMENSIONS:

Body (excluding leads) 8mm

Lamp envelope 3mm

Diameter 3.5mm

Lead length 7mm

The leads are rigid, wire but look to be tin plated so that direct soldering should be fine.

ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Cold filament resistance 9 Ohm

Applied a test voltage of 3V DC and the current drawn was 45mA so the hot resistance is around 65 Ohms

The filament colour at 3V is a yellow/orange of medium intensity

I would estimate the original supply voltage these were designed for would have been 6V maximum, perhaps 5V (common logic chip supply voltage)

At those voltages, these lamps are pretty power hungry with an estimated 90mA drawn off the supply for each lamp - imagine a panel with 100 lamps all indicating at the same time, that's a lot of current just for the indicators.

If the "hi tech" technology of incandescent lamps is "new" to you, these work on both AC or DC supplies and these particular lamps are designed to for long filament life (so the tech doesn't have to continually change the lamps!)

Testing performed as outlined in the description. Used item, non returnable
