The Philips PM series of professional video test pattern generators were "stock in trade" for the professional television serviceman from many years ago.

I like to restore dated equipment where possible but too many things were wrong with this pattern generator so it is now being "parted out" - both of the interlocking switches were faulty and some of the preset channel knobs had gone missing.

Prior to dismantling, this equipment was fully functional (although difficult to use with the cosmetic issues it had!)

Philips Colour TV Pattern Generator

Model: PM 5519

SPARE PART ONLY, AS DESCRIBED BELOW

Complete power supply section

This was secured onto the rear panel of the PM5519 and "may" be useful in other Philips equipment, I didn't have much Philips test equipment as I mainly worked with Agilent/HP equipment.

I am supply the PSU WITHOUT THE REAR PANEL (this adds considerably to the shipping weight)

All components you can see are included i.e on-off switch, AC line voltage switch, AC transformer, printed circuit board, DC output connector to mate with that on the board and all the required hardware for mounting.

The power supply is linear design and FULLY FUNCTIONAL - tested after removal, all good (see my notes below)

The last photograph is an extract from the schematic diagram and I have indicated the colour coding for the wires from the DC output connector and voltages present.

No wiring has been cut/removed except the AC input line.

Rotary switch for selection of the AC input voltage to the transformer

AC secondary goes to the printed circuit board which looks after rectifying, smoothing the DC and regulation of the voltages.

The special mating connector for the DC outputs is included

TESTING:

The AC input voltage selection switch is currently set for 240V (confirmed by the little notch on the "dial")

After removal from the equipment, all DC outputs were checked - everything is fine, if anything the 30V line is just a little higher at 31.5V but still well within tolerance

5V & 12V rails both fine

I do have the complete service manual for this model, the 5519 (handy also for video format conversion from PAL to NTSC or S Channel Cable format) - included if you ask for it (on a CD in pdf format, too many pages to print a hardcopy)

Since removal from the equipment, stored in a sealed plastic bag

Tested as described in the description This item is not returnable, UNLESS dead on arrival
