This model was released to the market in the early 1980's and discontinued in 1982
Offered as spare parts for the SD 1015R although it is possible this pinch roller & arm could suit other Marantz cassette tape equipment

I am pretty sure this is actually a Philips part number, Marantz acquired Philips in 2001 and prior to this were using Philips components in their equipment.
Supplied as one piece i.e pinch roller installed within the arm
I have not changed the pinch roller on this model but WARNING! it is a dog of job getting access to the pinch roller and then removing it so some care and time are required to undertake this task.
The parts list/diagrams show the pinch roller and the arm as one part, no mention is made of just the pinch roller. I have looked closely at the arm and the pins do not "depress" to allow roller removal and the arm is pressed steel, its not going to bend easily so I believe this complete unit is intended as a "drop-in" replacement.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
This pinch roller with arm is USED
I can see no physical damage to the roller
The surface of the rubber is dull, not shiny and certainly not covered in iron oxide
The rubber has "give" when squeezed - not too much but it definitely has not gone rock hard, this hardness is a common issue with old rubber pinch rollers - this one feels fine.
I do have (and can supply) the Service Manual for this machine, if requested. This is handy to see an exploded view of the tape transport and for guidelines on making pinch roller pressure adjustments and pinch roller to capstan shaft gap adjustments BUT it does not detail step-by-step on how to accesss the parts and remove them, this is up to the serviceperson to figure out.
If replacing your SD 1015R pinch roller assembly, it would be wise to measure/adjust the pinch roller pressure and also the roller-capstan shaft gap otherwise you are going to have playback issues (incorrect or uneven playback speed etc)
Since removal, this pinch roller assembly is now stored in sealed plastic.
