Specifically for use with integrated amplifiers/receivers that have completely separate preamp and power amplifiers, with RCA female sockets at the rear to bridge the two together.
If you do not bridge them (or have external equipment such as an EQ component) fitted between the preamplifier output and the power input, absolutely no sound will be the result!
