Front Panel Switch Actuator System With Button

Description (attempt):

These are special to DENON, the silver metallic button sits within a cylinder that has a spring inside it. The cylinder has a flange at the front, this is GLUED to the rear of the front panel.

The switch to be activated (NOT included) sits back from the front panel and this actuator system acts as an extended finger to push the switch on and off, the spring provides positive return of the button.

On the DENON equipment this was removed from, these buttons are used for speaker selection and loudness on-off - it may be that other DENON equipment uses this same system.

Dimensions (Digital calipers):

Flange: 20mm x 16.5 OD

Silver button: 6mm x 6mm OD

Cylinder diameter: 16mm OD

Button "throw" (distance between fully recessed and fully extended) 9mm

90% plastic construction with the only exceptions being the metal button and internal spring

 

CONDITION:

Used but very clean.

NO damage to the button or mechanism - operates smoothly

 

Since removal, I have now carefully packed and sealed this button assembly in plastic to preserve the condition
