Ex equipment "pulls" ... clean and reuseable but then again ...
I hesitate because, unlike the Cannon, Switchcraft & Neutrik's world, these are made entirely from plastic! I salvaged these because of the straight vertical PCB mounting (not right-angled) and had this idea that one day they may come in useful, I was wrong! So now these connectors are looking for a new workshop that may possibly have a use for these.
GENERIC - XLR Connector
Country of origin is unknown but most likely China
The body is completely unmarked i.e no codes, no logos
Type: 3 pin chassis mounting sockets
Female and Male (more detail below) ***
*** Use the selection boxes on this page to choose either male or female or a combination of both - discounts are automatically applied in the checkout as the quantity increases
PCB pins, vertical to the PCB
Two mounting holes on the socket face
The male sockets look to have Silver plated contact areas - when cleaning, Black oxide comes off the metal surface. I am unable to establish if the female also has Silver plating
Matt Black plastic finish
I would have to say these are truly in the "budget" category of XLR connectors but may suit some situations.
DIMENSIONS (Front flange):
26.1mm Wide x 32.15mm Height
2x 2.5mm ID mounting holes at diagonal corners
FEMALE ONLY: Rear barrel 21.55mm diameter (front section) which then narrows down to 16.3mm with a flat spot on one side
MALE ONLY: Rear barrel 19.60mm OD (including two flat spots) with no narrow section towards the rear
SPECIAL NOTE: On the inside of the flange (where the mounting holes are) there is a small bush 5.15mm OD x 2mm length - this needs to be taken into account if flush mounting to a panel or chassis
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED Equipment 'pulls'
Clean
The 3x PCB pins at the rear are clean and free of "dags"
The contact areas inside the male and female sockets look to be clean.
Each male or female socket is packed into individual sealed clear plastic packets
